One of the most impactful things I’ve had the ability to recognize within myself is the countless reasons why I’m not where I want to be.
I think we all fall victim to the stories in our minds of what we need to get to the next level of our life, when in all reality, the only thing we need is us.
So many times, I find myself not moving forward due to a lack of understanding or willingness to take the long way to my destination, even though the time it takes to avoid the strain of newness most times outweighs the time I spent in limbo.
Same goes for the reasons I create about the world around me.
I can travel the world, meet loads of people, surround myself with experiences; the most excruciating lesson of all, I am wherever I decide to be. If I’m not right with me, nothing will ever bring me peace.
When I learn to see myself in others and to see others within myself, I am free from the bondage of negative judgment, and open to the infinite variables of this worldly experience.
When I exist solely to gain experience and keep my focus on creating a space of safety for myself, I will attract everything the universe has to offer and can offer a safe space to anyone else looking. What I seek is within me, all I need to do is look, honestly.
