The Trap

With experience comes perspective, with perspective comes personal recognition of the limits set before us by forces larger than we are.

How much of what you know to be true was given to us by our own experience?

How much was picked up along the way from others who haven’t lived at all?

If we give weight the perception of people  we disagree with most of the time, we give away our sovereignty, we believe that we need to fit wherever we find ourselves.

The trap goes like this; close your eyes, shut your mouth, and blindly follow what you’re told.

We are too many to fall for this, still, many do.

Intuition tells us not to listen, but the information always finds a way in.

I challenge you to separate the thoughts of others from your own.

You alone can carry the truth without the burden of passing it to others, as well they can have their own.

We perpetuate the trap if we think our thoughts are exclusively truth.

Instead, live your truth out loud; we learn more from witnessing wholeness than we do through the judgment of others.

Nobody wants the answers to questions they never asked; the only way to initiate change around us is to be the change we need.

Like a rock thrown into the water, our ripple reaches everyone around us, igniting curiosity from our actions.

Here to teach, not to preach.

If life is a classroom, be the student and the teacher; embody the teachings so other students may learn by watching you live fully.

Every trap has a door, open it.
