The Choice is Mine

My mind is hell at times; the visions of what could be and what is blurring together, hands shaking from the fear of what could come.

My mind is heaven as well; to be the one who looks around, noticing the beauty that envelopes me.

The days I choose to see what’s going right; the days I spend drowning in the woahs of the past; each holding a perspective, an opportunity, and truth.

I can look at the pain, acknowledging the weight, and I can let it drift on the tears.

Or I can hold onto it, prolonging the inevitable breakdown.

Each day, a new offering, which view will I take?

Will I choose heaven or will I exist in a Hell I abandoned long ago?

The choice is mine.
